This page is a doorway to some of what I've done and published since the turn of the millennium. There is a web archive you can look at, which contains both promotion for DogSpeak and essays.

I have been remarkably moved by two of the major events of this century – the attacks of 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina.  As a volunteer, I travelled to Louisiana after the storm to work in animal rescue.  The smiling dog you see at left came back to Canada with me after we rode out Hurricane Rita together. My account of Katrina’s animal rescue first responders was published in The Bark.

Having used an unanticipated sabbatical to complete a novel about identity theft in the aftermath of disaster, and while I am now seriously looking to return to full-time employment in communications, I am reticent to share my CV on-line.  I wager however that if you have come this far you are already holding it.  You won’t find me on Facebook but you can go here to see my blog, which is an exploration of new media and writing for the web organized around a canine theme.
